Harrys 2nd Birthday

Today was my nephew's 2nd birthday so we all went over to my brothers house to help him celebrate. Harry had a great time and enjoyed opening all of his presents. He was very spoilt and got lots of lovely toys including a keyboard and guitar. He's not quite grasped how to use them yet, but he's getting there.

I am an auntie AGAIN!

I am now the proud owner of a brand new baby niece called Natalie. She arrived 3 weeks early and took us all by surprise, particularly her parents.

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her yet, but I will post a picture as soon as I do.

My First Post of the Year!

I can't believe that we are half way through the year and this is the first time I have blogged! I lost my blogging MoJo for a while, but hopefully it's back.

The main reason I am breaking my blogging silence is to announce that I am going to be an auntie again. On (or around) October 17th I will become an auntie to a baby girl. October 17th is actually the birthday of my other niece so I hope, for her sake, that the new baby arrives either a little early or late. I don't think Charlotte would be too happy about sharing her birthday.

In other news, at the end of this month I begin my teacher training. It's a two week intensive course and at the end of it I will be qualified to teach at a college tutoring level (adults only). I never thought I would be doing something like this, but it's an exciting change for me. Once I have completed this course there are further courses I can take which will allow me to teach at a higher level, but I am just happy to be doing this course for now.

Last week my lovely and much loved dog Saffron turned 14 years old. She has some trouble with arthritis, but other than that is doing really well. I attach a photo of Saffy in honour of her birthday.

HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY LAURA!!!

Today (16th) is my sisters 30th birthday. In some ways I can't believe she is turning 30 already, but I also can't believe it's taken her so long! It seems like forever ago that I turned 30, and it feels like Laura should have turned 30 shortly afterwards.

Anyway, she's finally there and I'm very happy for her (although she isn't too happy about it).

Cold and Frosty England

Today I took my dog Saffy for a walk over to the Downs near my house, and I couldn't believe how beautiful it looked! We had a really heavy frost over night which has turned the entire countryside white. Frost is so much prettier than snow. I'm not sure my pictures do it justice, but here are a few to give you an idea of how beautiful it looked.
