Cold and Frosty England

Today I took my dog Saffy for a walk over to the Downs near my house, and I couldn't believe how beautiful it looked! We had a really heavy frost over night which has turned the entire countryside white. Frost is so much prettier than snow. I'm not sure my pictures do it justice, but here are a few to give you an idea of how beautiful it looked.

  3. You got some amazing shots Jo! I do think frost is very pretty as well, but I still do love the snow (at least freshly fallen snow...the brown dirty stuff, not so much). :)

  4. Jo, I think your pictures are really good. Especially good considering they were taken with an iPhone not an actual camera....

I think you did a real good job. I really like them...

Speaking as the photographer of the family.
I would be proud to have taken them...:)

  5. I enjoyed your pics, it is as close to seeing England that I am going to get for awhile. I may make a goal of getting there, maybe in a couple to 5 years. I would love to meet you guys in person. Maybe bring my daughter.

  6. Thank you everyone! I am secretly quite pleased with these pictures, especially since I took them using my mobile phone and not a professional camera.

Jan, you should definitely visit England when you get the chance. There is a lot I don't like about it, but, as a tourist, it has a lot to offer. So much history and very beautiful countryside. It would be lovely to meet you! :)

Camille, I agree that snow can look beautiful, especially fresh snow. I like the crispyness of the frost though. :)
