New Moon

On Friday New Moon the movie was released, so on Saturday night a group of us rushed out to see it. I've been excited to see this film since it was one of the better books in the Twilight series.

One of the things that makes me laugh when I watch Twilight is when Edward is (supposedly) running through the woods with Bella on his back. I laugh because of the poor visual effects, he looks as though he is being pulled through the woods on a skateboard! Well the effects in New Moon are much better (thanks to the bigger budget), but it felt a little wooden. The best parts for me were the scenes with the wolves. They came across really well on the big screen.

Part of what ruined the film for me was the actress who plays Bella. I tolerated her a little better in this film than I did in Twilight, but I still can't imagine what possessed them to cast her! I don't think anyone who is incapable of opening their mouth when they speak should be allowed to act. She mumbles worse than Marlon Brando in the Godfather! She also only has one look, and that is the look of fear. The poor girl is clearly permanently scared so maybe acting isn't the line of work she should be in.

I also had a bit of a problem watching Michael Sheen in the role of Aro. I don't know how many times he has portrayed ex Prime Minister Tony Blair, but the characteristics are beginning to stick. All I could think of whilst he was on screen was Tony Blair, and I would prefer never to think about that man again!

Despite my bitchiness, all in all it was a good film and I would recommend any Twilight Saga fan goes to see it. Despite my comments I really did enjoy it and I'm already looking forward to seeing Eclipse. I apologise to Kristen Stewart (who is an avid reader of my blog) for my rudeness. If you could just learn to open your mouth when you speak, and enunciate I would be most grateful.

I would love to hear everyone else's thoughts :)

My Little Pumpkin Patch

This Halloween my niece and nephew dressed up as pumpkins. It's hard to imagine that only 3 years ago Charlotte was wearing the same pumpkin costume that Harry is now wearing! Where does the time go!!!

Mummy & Daddy with their little pumpkins. One pumpkin seemed to find the photo shoot tiring.

He did wake up momentarily...

but then went back to sleep.

Scary pumpkin!

My Awesome Night!

Last night I went to see Green Day in concert. My sister is a HUGE fan and was really excited about it. I'm not as big a fan as she is, but I really like them and was looking forward to it too. However, neither of us could have realised just how great the evening was going to be.

The concert was at Wembley Arena, which is a venue I really like. We opted for standing tickets, I much prefer to stand than sit at concerts. We had barely been in the arena 2 minutes when some guy walked up to us. I am a naturally suspicious person and always assume that when people approach you they are after something. Well this guy (Ryan) was actually just being nice. He asked us if we would like to go and sit where they were filming the show, so we followed him up on to a fenced off platform where they controlled all the visual, sound and lighting effects. We were given a leather couch to sit on, offered free drinks, and had the most amazing view of the stage. We couldn't believe our luck!

Ryan introduced us to all the crew, who were really nice and friendly. Part way through the evening one of the crew gave us each a drum stick which had been used by Green Day's drummer Tre Cool. He must be a fairly heavy handed drummer because these sticks have had the life beaten out of them.

Just when we thought our evening couldn't get much better it did. I noticed 2 guys come and stand next to me, leaning on the leather couch. I glanced at them but didn't really pay too much attention. About 10-15 mins later Laura said to me "the bloke behind you really looks like Jon Bon Jovi". I casually glanced to the side of me and turned back to Laura and said "that bloke IS Jon Bon Jovi, and Richie Sambora too"!!! To be honest I'm not a Bon Jovi fan. They've done a few tracks I like, but they've never really grabbed me. Despite this I was totally overwhelmed! It was so unexpected!

Sadly I didn't take any pictures. Laura took a couple so I'll put some of those on here soon.

It was an amazing night and we have a complete stranger to thank for it. Thanks Ryan!

I HATE GOOGLE!!!

The last time I set up a blog I had trouble thinking of something to write. Well this time I knew exactly how I was going to start my blog, and I think the post title says it all.

I deleted a Google email address that I no longer use, and Google (in their wisdom) decided that I probably wanted to delete my Blogger account too! Needless to say I didn't want to delete my Blogger account, but there doesn't appear to be any way to get it back. I am now feeling some serious hatred towards Google.

I have searched the Internet for a solution but it would appear thousands (well, at least hundreds) of Google users have had the exact same experience. Probably I'm a moron and should have known this would happen, but, in my defence, the email account I deleted wasn't even linked to my Blogger account. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate that my first post on my new (unwanted) blog is an angry one, but that is the mood I'm in at the moment. I promise to snap out of it, and I'll make sure my next post is a happy one.
